Who I am

A real broker — not a call centre

I'm Myrtille, an independent insurance broker based in the Var, in the heart of Provence. I don't work for any single insurer: I compare 50+ companies and recommend only what genuinely fits you. Everything can be handled remotely — by phone, video call or email — and entirely in English. If an on-site visit is needed (to insure a home or a business), I cover the Var, the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) and the Bouches-du-Rhône.

What I can insure

Cover for your life in France

Whether you've relocated for good or own a holiday home on the French Riviera or in Provence, here's where I help most.

Home & Property

Main residence, holiday home or rental (landlord / PNO). The right multi-risk home cover, explained — without the fine-print surprises.

Main home · Holiday home · Landlord

Car & Vehicles

Insuring a French-plated car — or importing your own? I sort the right motor cover, including for newcomers with a foreign driving history.

Car · Motorbike · Imported vehicle

Health Insurance

Private health cover or a top-up "mutuelle" to complement the French system — essential if you're not yet covered or want better reimbursements.

Private health · Top-up · Family

Mortgage / Borrower

Buying property in France? French law (loi Lemoine) lets you choose your own loan insurance — often for big savings versus the bank's offer.

Property purchase · Big savings

Also running a business or self-employed in France? I cover professional liability, premises, income protection and more for expat entrepreneurs.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Not with me. I handle the whole process in English — quotes, paperwork, signing and claims — and I explain how French insurance and admin actually work so nothing gets lost in translation.

Absolutely. Insuring a second home or holiday property in France is one of my most common requests. We can arrange everything remotely; I only need a few details about the property.

Yes — entirely. Quotes, subscription, claims and renewals can all be done by phone, video call or email, with electronic signature. You never need to travel. If an on-site visit helps, I cover the Var, the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) and the Bouches-du-Rhône.

Yes. EURL M.A.V Courtage is registered with ORIAS under number 24 005 154 (verifiable on orias.fr) and bound by the French insurance distribution rules (DDA), including a formal duty of advice.

For most personal insurance, my advice costs you nothing extra — I'm paid by the insurer through commission, and you pay the same premium as going direct. For certain business or complex cases, any fee is always agreed transparently and in writing beforehand.
